January Spelling Assignment

Students must write a story that includes a minimum of 25 of the following current spelling words within the story.  As they are writing their story, the spelling words that they use should be highlighted within the story.  The story must be handwritten.  Students may add prefixes or suffixes to the word, but if it the addition of these alters the spelling students must still spell the word correctly.

The story should be a minimum of two paragraphs in length, and show that they have an understanding of what the words mean and can use them within context of writing.  To receive full credit for this assignment, students must properly use the 25 words within their story, and the story must flow as a proper piece of writing.  A bank of the words are below that students may pick from for their 25 words.
